Poem

not where i want to be

this is not where I want to be,

and most anyone can see

that I’m not happy here,

in this dark prison of melancholy.

this is not where I belong.

everything just feels wrong.

I just want to go home,

and I just want to be gone.

but there’s nothing I can do,

as I’m forced to be clad in blue,

I want nothing more than to go back,

and be rid of this feeling of black.

this is not where I want to be.

this is not the life I want to lead.

all I want is to return back to where I came from,

and from this prison, finally be freed.
